Snoqualmie Valley Garden Club
As a 501c3, SVGC’s mission is to inform, educate, and inspire our members and the community in the art, science, and joy of gardening, while fostering a commitment to environmental stewardship.
For the love of gardening
February is often devoted to love, but gardeners know a special kind. The quiet devotion to soil, seedlings, and the promise of things to come. As winter softens and the first hints of spring whisper their way in, our love of gardening reminds us that tending, nurturing, and noticing beauty are acts of the heart. This month, we celebrate that gentle, growing kind of love.
Join us for our February Meeting:
Have you ever wondered why the garden clears your head and soothes your body in ways that work doesn’t? Learn how nature gently calms the nervous system and restores balance.
A walk in the woods or time in the garden often brings mental clarity, emotional balance, and restorative fatigue. This isn’t accidental. Nature directly influences the nervous system.
Grace Porter, LMHC, is a depth psychotherapist specializing in trauma, over-giving, and high-achiever burnout. Her work is relational, attachment-based, and holistic, integrating creative, body-centered, and nature-based approaches. She is a Certified Advanced Facilitator of I AM Yoga Nidra and co-founder of The Seven Tools, where she teaches classes and workshops focused on shifting limiting beliefs and supporting deep, lasting personal transformation. Based on a small farm in Olympia, Washington, Grace brings her love of the outdoors and getting her hands in the dirt into both her life and her work.
