We have so much to celebrate this month, from earning a Rise & Shine award to presenting our annual scholarship to a remarkable local senior. As you head out to enjoy the fresh flavors of the newly opened community farmer's markets, don't forget to save the date for our June meeting, where our very own Melody Granillo will dig into the essentials of Gardening with Pollinators. Grab your gloves & spade — it’s going to be a fantastic month!

GARDENING WITH POLLINATORS with Melody Granillo
June 9th, 6:30PM to 8:30PM
Encompass Child Development Center
Discover the fascinating world of our local pollinators and the essential role they play in our gardens and ecosystems. This presentation explores the diverse pollinators found in our region and how their unique abilities support plant reproduction and garden productivity, with special attention to the challenges facing honey bees. Learn practical ways to create a more pollinator-friendly landscape, reduce common threats to pollinators, and foster a healthy productive yard. Whether you grow vegetables, flowers, or simply enjoy watching nature at work, you’ll leave with ideas and inspiration for supporting pollinators while enhancing the beauty and vitality of your garden.
Non-members are welcome with suggested $5.00 donation.
Many thanks to all who attended our Spring Fundraiser!
A special thank you to Christina Salwitz, who inspired us with examples of her visually impactful container designs, and provided us with some amazing plant combinations for our own gardens.
